Coup de Coeur

 Coup de Coeur is a biker friendly Bed and Breakfast, near Perpignan, in the Pyrenees, in the  South of France. The area  is famed for its food, wine, spectacular scenery, charming chateaux and superb weather and of course, the best biking roads in Europe!. We are located within 15 minutes of the Mediterranean beaches, 20 minutes from Spain, 45 minutes from the ski slopes 2 hours from Andorra and 8 hours from Bilbao/Santander, in the hottest, sunniest valley in the whole of France. 

The area is steeped in history, (it was originally Spain), and is ideal for sightseeing or  for those that wish to simply "ride the roads". With over 300 sunny days a year (similar to the Caribbean) and the possibility of skiing in the mountains in the morning and the Mediterranean in the afternoon, Coup de Coeur is an ideal spot for exploring this exciting region, or simply as a stopover if you are en-route to Spain or touring around France.

Ample secure parking in a large garage is available, and  a workshop where most jobs from simple maintenance to overhauls can be undertaken

The owners are themselves bikers, and having fully explored the region, are only too happy to advise on all routes and places of interest, or  on day trips out.

As previously stated, the region is renowned for its wine, and also its cuisine. Within a short distance, there are small ports with superb seafood restaurants, small bodegas in the hills, numerous wine "caves" are within a few minutes drive where you can sample and buy the local wine and just over the Spanish border in Le Perthus, a museum over a restaurant dedicated to MV’s and Ducatis – not to be missed! A huge plus is that the restaurant is superb, owned by a dedicated biker, and the paella served there is probably one of the best in this region – to take a leaf out of a certain beer company’s book!!!
